The primary function of a sound calibrator is to generate a sinusoidal sound pressure of specified level and frequency when coupled to specified models of microphone in specified configurations.
This document specifies the performance requirements for three classes of sound calibrator: class LS (Laboratory Standard), class 1 and class 2. Acceptance limits are smallest for class LS and greatest for class 2 instruments. Class LS sound calibrators are normally used only in the laboratory; class 1 and class 2 sound calibrators are considered as sound calibrators for field use. A class 1 sound calibrator is primarily intended for use with a class 1 sound level meter and a class 2 sound calibrator primarily with a class 2 sound level meter, as specified in IEC 61672-1, and with a personal sound exposure meter, as specified in IEC 61252 [3].
To promote consistency of testing of sound calibrators and ease of use, this document contains normative information on pattern evaluation tests and periodic tests, and informative information on assessments of conformance to specifications of this document.
This document does not include requirements for equivalent free-field or random-incidence sound pressure levels, such as can be used in the overall sensitivity adjustment of a sound level meter.
A sound calibrator can provide other functions, for example, tonebursts. Requirements for these other functions are not included in this document.
This part of IEC 61076 covers 8-way, shielded, free and fixed rectangular connectors for I/O and data transmission with frequencies up to 500 MHz. It is intended to specify the common dimensions, mechanical, electrical and environmental characteristics and tests for this family of connectors.
Connectors complying with this document provide an ingress protection level of IP20; however, they are particularly suited for industrial environments with a high level of vibration.
NOTE 1 In terms of the MICE system as defined in ISO/IEC 11801-1, the connector matches the requirements of the M3I1C3E3 levels.
There are two classes of connectors defined in this document, indicated by "class A" and "class B" which are distinguished by some electrical and mechanical characteristics to meet the particular sets of requirements of some industrial applications.
NOTE 2 Class A meets the requirements defined in Ed.1 of this document.
NOTE 3 With the two classes A and B, the two codings Type I and II, and the two sets of transmission requirements according to the component categories Cat 5 and Cat 6A as defined in ISO/IEC 11801-1, this document specifies 2 × 2 × 2 = 8 variants.
All connectors covered by this document feature a current-carrying capacity beyond the minimum requirement of 0,75 A per pin for an ambient temperature of 60° C as defined in ISO/IEC 11801‑1.
NOTE 4 The current-carrying capacity is given by the current-temperature derating defined in this document and is dependent on the wire size of the cable attached to the connector.
NOTE 5 With a current-carrying capacity of 0,5 A per pin and with matching the requirement of withstanding the test current of 2 A for unmating under load as defined in IEC 60512-99-002, the connectors covered by this document support the highest Power over Ethernet level as defined by IEEE 802.3bt (100 W PoE++ Type 4).
1.1 General
This part of IEC 62361 outlines a technical approach for achieving effective information exchange between power system installations governed by IEC 61850 and business systems integrated with IEC CIM standard data exchanges, based on a selected specific set of use cases, but also with the goal of creating a framework that will extend successfully to other use cases in the future. This document includes proposals to ‘harmonize’ the two standards by adapting or extending existing information models and/or defining new models, where such changes will enable more effective communication. Both current and future directions of models will be considered. The document aims to take into account existing standards for semantics, services, protocols, system configuration language, and architecture.
This document is intended to be coordinated with IEC 61850 and all affiliated subgroups as well as IEC 61968 and IEC 61970. The first edition of the document was prepared based on Edition 2 of IEC 61850-6 (2009), IEC 61850-7-3 and IEC 61850-7-4:2026. This edition has been updated to match more recent documents including IEC 61850 Edition 2.1. Mapping to other parts of IEC 61850 is incomplete. Mapping has been considered for the CIM classes defined in IEC 61970-301. The mapping to CIM classes defined in IEC 61968-11 and other standards is incomplete.
This document suggests a technical approach by which two of the leading standards for software interoperability that serve the electric utility industry (the Common Information Model, CIM, and the IEC 61850 model) can cooperate in order to enable effective data exchanges between the domains covered by these standards. Both of these standards are maintained by the International Electrotechnical Committee (IEC).
A number of studies and reports have already been produced on the subject of harmonization as listed in the Bibliography.
The work leading to this document has considered how exchanges required by commonly understood use cases might be mapped between the standard models in order to determine the harmonizing changes suggested for the relevant models. The bibliography lists some of the papers, reports or other documents that provided data for this harmonization.
Paragraphs introduced by the word Recommendation are recommendations for revisions to some of the IEC 61850 and IEC 61970 standards. It is anticipated that if these recommendations are accepted, then this document will be revised.
NOTE New recommendations for this edition are numbered R31, R32 etc in order to distinguish them from recommendations in IEC 62361-102:2018.
1.2 Edition 1
For edition 1, the approach adopted was to define a transformation of the data governed by IEC 61850 SCL XSD to data governed by CIM UML. The transformations in this document are defined based on the use cases presented in this document. Only SCL data relevant to these use cases is transformed.
The aim is to allow the development of tools that perform automatic transformation from an SCL instance file into a CIM based instance model that can then be exported using existing standards such as IEC 61970-552: CIMXML Model exchange format.
These transformations will result in CIM-side processes that can distribute the information as needed for configuration of specific CIM applications. It is also presumed that the result of this exchange will be to enable creation of real-time CIM-side clients for IEC 61850 system data.
The heart of the SCL to CIM transformation specification defined in this document is a mapping between the two information models. Wherever this mapping has been judged to be unnecessarily complex, changes have been recommended to the existing information models. A major objective, however, has been to define a solution that does not change either SCL or CIM UML without a mechanism to supply backward compatibility.
The transformation specification is only for structural modelling. IEC 61970-301 states "CIM entities have no behaviour." IEC 61850-5 [17] states "the behaviour of the functions itself are ... outside the scope of this standard".
1.3 Edition 2
This edition of the document includes additional use cases and extends the logical nodes mapping for several parts from the IEC 61850 series.
The IEC 62714 series specify an engineering data exchange format for use in industrial automation systems.
This part of IEC 62714 specifies the structure and method for modelling automation components and automation systems systems in AML.
Therefore, IEC 62714, this part specifies normative AML libraries for the modelling of component information for the exchange of Automation Components between engineering by means of AML.
This part of IEC 62714 specifies AML role class libraries and AML attribute type libraries. Role classes provide semantics to AML objects; attribute types provide semantics to AML attributes. The association of role classes to AML objects or attribute types to AML attributes represent the possibility to add (also external) semantic to it. By associating a role class to an AML object or an attribute type to an AML attribute, it gets a semantic. This part of IEC 62714 does not define details of the data exchange procedure or implementation requirements for the import/export tools.
This document focuses on the basic structure for AML Component to integrate information needed for successfully handling automation components in a digitalised engineering process.
This International Standard applies to PV couplers for use in the d.c. circuits of photovoltaic systems according to IEC 60364-7-712 and PV arrays according to IEC 62548-1, categorized as class II of IEC 61140 with rated voltages up to 1 500 V d.c. and rated currents up to 125 A per contact.
This standard applies to PV couplers consisting of connectors from same product family of same manufacturer without breaking capacity, but which are able to be engaged and disengaged under voltage (i.e. when live, Connector under voltage (CuV)).
Note 1 to entry: The meaning of “manufacturer” is described in 3.3.
This standard also applies to connectors for PV couplers which are intended to be built-in or integrated in enclosures of devices for photovoltaic systems. This standard may be used as a guide for PV couplers in photovoltaic systems of classes 0 and III according to IEC 61140. This document does not apply to connectors for data collection, tracker controls or similar, but it may be used as a guide for those connectors.
This standard does not cover any requirement which may be applied for tests of combinations of plugs and sockets from different manufacturers.
Note 2 to entry: IEC 63678, Standardized plug and socket design for DC photovoltaic (PV) systems for intermatability of connectors from different manufacturers is in development.
